Where would your business be without a strong Chamber of Commerce?

The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce works daily to promote our community as a great place to work and do business. It is the only organization to do so — there is no TIRZ, Management District or other economic development funding mechanism in place to support economic development activities to attract, retain or help grow business in our community.

Why is Economic Development important?

Economic Development, simply put, means more dollars and more great paying jobs in a community. Because your business needs other businesses or customers with disposable incomes to support it. The Chamber works to ensure our community has both. And we need your support to make it happen. By becoming an investing member of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce you support those activities that attract and retain major employers and small businesses alike to our community. Only your Membership support will ensure those activities will continue so your community is strong enough to support your business.

The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce

The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, begun in 1974, is 45 years old and maintains a successful history of supporting the development of both business interests and the community. We are a dynamic area, growing by leaps and bounds into a self-sufficient community approximately the size of Denver, CO. We have developed and maintained a high quality of life through the development of values and amenities that meet the needs of residents and visitors. Business-friendly regulations and attitude make this area prime for business start-ups and relocations.

Membership supports the Chamber’s continued, successful advocacy efforts to represent the interests of business in the political arena. We strive to initiate positive community change to improve the local economic climate for the benefit of all businesses.

Chamber membership provides a variety of involvement opportunities, whether business interests focus on legislative issues, road access projects, connectivity events,  workforce development projects, or economic development initiatives. Chamber businesses also enjoy unique marketing and visibility access with an organization that works 24/7/365 to promote local businesses. We provide them with access to the products and customers they need to see their business grow. We are excited to present new membership investment levels which demonstrate your company’s commitment to positively impacting the business community through your monetary support.

Consumers 63% More Likely to Buy From Chamber Members
WASHINGTON – A national study by The Schapiro Group, an Atlanta-based market research firm, reveals important findings about how consumers and business owners perceive local chamber of commerce members. For example:

  • When consumers know that a business is a member of the local chamber they are 44% more likely to think favorably of it.
  • Consumers who are told that a business is a chamber member are 51% more likely to be highly aware of it and 57% more likely to think positively of its local reputation.
  • Consumers are 63% more likely to buy goods and services in the future from a company that they believe is a member of the local chamber of commerce.

The study also finds that when business decision makers believe a business is a chamber member, they are 37% more likely to think favorably of the business, 51% more likely to be highly aware of it, 58% more likely to think positively of it, and 59% more likely to buy goods and services from it. The study also reveals a positive perception for chambers:

  • Regarding the chamber’s impact on the local economy, 82% of the respondents believe that the local chamber of commerce helps create jobs and promotes local economic development.
