Sam Houston Race Park
Sam Houston Race Park is Houston’s premier racing and entertainment facility, located 15 minutes from downtown Houston. It offers a variety of attractions including 19 luxury suites overlooking the race track, The Pavilion Centre, and award-winning dining options at the Winner’s Circle Restaurant and the Champion Energy Service Jockey Club. The Park’s newest addition, The Showgrounds, is an all-ages, outdoor, 15,000-capacity venue that hosts annual country, classic rock and contemporary concert events throughout the year. Historical Tourist Attractions
Northwest Houston is bounded to the north by the historical venues of Sam Houston’s birthplace in Huntsville; to the northwest by Tomball, home of the Spring Creek County Historical Museum Complex; to the southeast by the San Jacinto Monument near the Ship Channel and Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston. But few know of the up-close and personal historical sites we have right here at home.
The Spring Historical Museum and Spring Visitor’s Center

The Klein Historical Foundation
This is a unique project of the Klein Independent School District and is dedicated to the preservation of local German history and culture and to educating school children and the public about our local roots. The foundation posts a Driving Tour of the Klein Community, a self-guided tour of historical sites, cemeteries and venues at www.kleinisd.net. The Wunderlich Farm Museum
Preserves the rural heritage of the early Klein community. Tours of this 1891 farm have been designed to reflect the way of life in the rural community of Klein from the 1890s to 1920s. The public is invited to a free tour of the farm, a two-room schoolhouse, and three homes built in the 1800s.
